Carlow is Irelands smallest inland county, located on the river Barrow and is home to 20,000 people. A town that's easily navigable by foot, it offers an attractive blend of scenery, history and modern attractions. It’s a great place to live with a great range of properties to rent or purchase and lots of amenities in the town and surrounding areas. With the Blackstairs Mountains to the east and the Killeshin Hills to the west, Carlow has its share of surrounding scenery.
Good housing from standalone detached to apartments to rent or purchase in the town. The town has great shopping in the Town Centre and the Fairgreen Shopping Centre. There is a wide range of quality clubs in Carlow from mainstream GAA, soccer and rugby to minority clubs such as martial arts, rowing and archery. There are also a great number of community groups that organise physical activity sessions e.g. active retirement associations, family resource centres etc. Carlow has a Cinema, Visual Art Centre, Library and of course great pubs.
There is a good choice of schools from kinder garden to Carlow IT. TheTown is well served with a variety of churches of many differing traditions. All the major financial institutions and the Credit Union have branches here.
Carlow is only 80K from Dublin and most accessible for public transport with good bus and rail links. The new M9 motorway gives easy access to Waterford.
